Store in a jar with a tight lid. Sprinkle over grilled or broiled meats. Add to chili, barbeque sauces, soups, casseroles, mashed potatoes, etc. From The Marlboro Country Cookbook.
- 1⁄4 cup chili powder
- 4 teaspoons paprika
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 2 teaspoons ground ginger
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1⁄4 teaspoon ground thyme
- 1⁄4-1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- Combine all ingredients.
- Store in a jar with a tight lid.
An excellent blend, tastes great, the preparation is simple and it smells like powdered bliss :) Thanks for this recipe! I use it mainly with minced beef with beans or chickpea.
This was fanastic and super easy to make. It can be incorparated in so many recipes. I made this up for my dd to take to university.It makes a large amount and costs much less than premade. Thanks.
