The marinade on this steak is sweet & tangy. I really love it. I sometimes double the marinade & cook it up so there is more sauce to serve over the steaks.
- 750 g round steaks
- 1⁄2 cup tomato sauce
- 1⁄4 cup barbecue sauce
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- 1⁄4 cup red wine
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- Marinate steak in remaining ingredients for 30 minutes.
- Cook in a hot pan with marinade for 2-3 minutes each side or until cooked to your liking.
Made for Aus/NZ - Make My Recipe Edition 5. I didn't have near the luck with this that NCMysteryShopper did. I'm not sure if it was the piece of round steak that I had or that I cooked it on the stove-top grill. I"ll try this again with another piece of meat and re-review it later. This marinade was really wonderful! It tenderized the round steak well and the flavor was wonderful. I added hot sauce to mine and the boys ate theirs without the heat. We all loved it and I plan to use this again for Memorial Day when we have guests! Thanks Mandy!
