The taste of this sauce is great and was really what I needed as I was running out of mine. It was done in a very short time and it's easier than going out to buy some! Really!

      I used following ingredients:
mirin (Japanese sweet rice wine); substituted with dry cherry as I cannot get it here
      soy sauce; used dark one
      rice vinegar; used distilled one
sesame oil; used 100% pure one
      sugar; as described
      garlic cloves, minced; as described
fresh ginger, minced, used 2 tablespoon grated and pressed out the juice by hand
red pepper flakes; from my own
      black pepper; as described

I tried this over some white rice (leftover) and the taste is great. I will use this for sure to marinate chicken and other dishes.

Result can be very different depending on the ingredients.
Thanks a lot for this great seasoning mix!

Excellent teriyaki sauce. I made 1/2 of the recipe and marinated chicken breast and then grilled the chicken. When in a hurry, I use Lawry's Teriyaki sauce with the pineapple juice, but DS doesn't care much for it, but he loved this sauce. The only change I made was to use dry ginger, as it is what I had on hand, but think using the fresh would make this even all the better. Thanks for sharing the recipe. Made for Newest Tag Game.
