This is a great sauce. Add this to stir fried vegies,rice,over cooked chicken, or over a ribeye in the final moments of cooking to add a great oriental flavor. I hope ya'll enjoy it.
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
- 2 tablespoons water
- 1 1⁄2 cups white sugar
- 1 1⁄2 cups soy sauce
- 1⁄2 cup cider vinegar
- 3 crushed garlic cloves
- 1 1⁄2 teaspoons ground ginger
- 3⁄4 teaspoon ground black pepper
- Mix sugar, soy sauce, vinegar, garlic, ginger, and pepper and simmer.
- Combine cornstarch and water together and whisk into sauce, simmer until the sauce thickens to your liking.
