This easy recipe is from the Good housekeeping cookbook I lost in my housefire, I have made it so many times, I have it memorised. I like to maridnade beef cubes in it and have shish-ka-bob night and serve over rice. It also uses basic on hand ingredients.
- 1⁄2 cup soy sauce
- 1⁄2 cup brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 1⁄4 teaspoon ground ginger
- 2 cloves garlic, pressed
- Mix all ingredients together.
- Makes enough for about 2 pounds of meat.
AWESOME! This has been my "secret" porkchop marinade for a while now- I am glad that you gave the exact measurements (I usually just put a little of this and that... I make these when I want to impress guests. Thanks so much!
I tried the teriyaki marinade recipe you posted to marinate beef for my stir-fry. I only let it marinate for about an hour, but it turned out delicious. Instead of using lemon juice, I used cooking sherry. Thanks for posting, Dawnab!
