Teriyaki Base Marinade

"I like to use this marinade when I do Japanese grilling. I use it on octopus, chicken, livers, fishballs, crab sticks, etc. I like to top with eel sauce and toasted sesame for a stronger taste."

ingredients

• 5 tablespoons low sodium soy sauce
• 2 tablespoons olive oil
• 2 garlic cloves, minced
• 2 teaspoons brown sugar
• 1 teaspoon ground ginger
• 1 teaspoon fresh coarse ground black pepper

directions

1. Combine all ingredients and marinade 1-2 pound meat.
