I think this is great! This was my second attempt at cooking tempeh. I love the marinade used for this. It leaves a slightly sweet flavor in the tempeh. I allowed my tempeh to soak overnight and was happy with that. Tempeh is not my husband's favorite, but it's so healthy and nutty I could eat it all of the time. I was so impressed with this marinade that I can imagine using it for tofu or meats. Thanks for posting, Bergy. I enjoyed this!

This is a great, unique recipe- the flavors work great together. I sliced the tempeh into "slabs" to marinate for 4 hours, and it was a good size for sauteing and soaking up the marinade flavors. Definitely saute with seasonal veggies, as just the tempeh would be too plain for a main course.

I made this for my sister and I, and while I hate to only give a one star review, neither of us could eat this. I followed the recipe to a T, and as the previous rater stated, the marinade smelled like a garlic margarita (in a good way!!), however, for me, the end result was inedible. There was a very strong "chemically" taste in the marinated tempeh that neither of us could get over. Maybe it was just bad tempeh? Hope others have better luck with this recipe.

Yumm! Great flavor. It smelled like a garlic margarita! I ended up marinating for 4-5 hours, and the original pieces were small so by the time I cooked them they were basically crumbles. Next time I'll start out with larger pieces! I sauteed them in the some of the marinade, and it turned out great. Thanks for this tasty recipe, will make again. Can't wait to try it grilled!
