Lovely drink that DH and I enjoyed on the porch while watching the sun go down on this warm summer day after working in the garden all day. I followed WillsMommy suggestion and added triple sec, also cut the tequila down to 1 ounce as that's plenty strong enough for us. It was so pretty to look at like a summer sunset and the taste was a pleasant mix of the fresh orange juice I used and the other ingrediants that really showed through. Made for Bite into the sweet taste of July.

Great! I throw in a shot of triple sec and it makes it a little smoother. Yum!

Great, but you can change this into a "sundowner" by subtsituting Captain Morgans dark rum for the tequila.

Deeeelicious. I love tequila sunrises and the amounts are perfect. One of the prettiest drinks out there! :) Thanks! ---Edit: After reading all of the reviews, I guess I just like my drinks strong, haha! So if you like a good kick in your drinks, the amounts should suit you fine ;)

I love this drink; it is pretty and really yummy. I will admit to making mine a bit weaker, but it was still strong for me. Definitely a fun drink! Thanks for the recipe.

My BF wanted me to make him a drink with some of the Patron tequila I had gotten him for Christmas... I had to juice two fresh oranges for the orange juice, but this drink was well worth it! The Patron was very smooth and so was this drink... I had a small sip and I thought it was a little strong ( but I'm a whimp when it comes to alcohol!) but my BF thought he could handle a little more tequila... Thanks for a very pretty and delicious cocktail!!!

Just like the drink I discovered in the Mayan Riviera! It was also enjoyed by our guests at our Mexican fiesta - they took the recipe home with them. Thanx Sue!

One of my favs. When i have a cold, and need lots of Vitamin C, this is my favorite way to have it. After 2 of these, you forget you have a cold.
