  1. In dutch oven, saute onion and garlic in oil.
  2. Add chicken and brown lightly.
  3. Add next 6 ingredients.
  4. Bring to a boil.
  5. Reduce heat, cover tightly, and simmer for 35 minutes.
  6. Add more broth if needed.
  7. Remove chicken.
  8. Mix cornstarch and water, add, stirring to pan.
  9. Boil 1 minute.
  10. Return chicken and turn to coat.

This was an excellent chicken dinner. I made it the night before and warmed it up for lunch. served the chicken with rice and a veg.
