This was a hit! I doubled the cheese (we love cheese!) and baked in two pie pans. Topped with ketchup. Very tasty and a nice way to get veggies into a meal! Thanks for posting!
This was good but didn't add the peas. Also added onions and garlic to the ground beef. Will make again.
Great base recipe, leaving room for personalization!! My alterations: I fried it off in a cast iron pan, drained the meat, sprayed with a little Pam, returned mixture to skillet and baked it right in that same skillet. I used green beans, yuck peas. I used more milk, because I used skim. No cheese. Garlic powder, onion powder, salt and pepper. yummeriffic. Thanks for the recipe, it was just what I was looking for.
I had this recipe once over ten years ago and am glad to have run across it again. Instead of using peas I used broccoli, tasted great! Think I will try green beans next time. Thanks.
My kids loved this, and anything that I can just throw in the oven and forget about until it is done goes on my favorite list!

I tried this for my family and it was pretty good. It kind of reminded me of a "hamburger helper" type dish. The casserole served myself, my husband, and my teenage son, so the 6 servings the recipe claims to make might be a little overstated. My 2nd grader who is a little picky did not like this dish at all.
