I found lots of recipes that were similar on here, but none had these exact ingredients. Our family has been making it this way for 30 years or more.

We enjoyed this - it was very simple to make too. There was something missing though. I think next time I will add some garlic, maybe some worcestershire sauce. Also I used monterey jack cheese since that is what I had. We thought the cheese went well, but I will try it with cheddar next time. Made for Spring PAC 2010.
- 1 lb lean ground beef
- 1 small onion, chopped finely
- 1 (10 1/2 ounce) can cream of mushroom soup
- 3 cups tater tots
- 2 cups cheddar cheese
- salt and pepper
