  • Heat a heavy based fry pan on the stove top until hot.
  • When pan is very hot, throw in the seeds and nuts. Stir the seeds with a wooden spoon often but not constantly. When they are starting to brown evenly, turn off the heat and splash in the tamari.
  • Keep stirring until the seeds are well coated and most of the moisture has evaporated.
  • Serve hot, or allow to cool and store in an airtight container.
  • Enjoy.

  1. I started making these thinking I had tamari in the fridge but then realised it was kecap manis. Oh well, used that instead with great results. I used a bit less than 1/4 cup as it is a bit thicker. The mixture stuck together a bit while mixing but I just broke it up once cooled to store it. This is so yummy and morish is right. Will be making this for Xmas day appetizers for sure. Thanks!
