We make this whenever we have get togethers with our friends. I have used different breads, cheeses and seasonings as well, but this is my favorite. Black forest rye with Swiss ranks a close second.

  1. Preheat ove to 350.
  2. Cut bread lengthwise and crosswise without cutting all the way through the bottom crust.
  3. Insert cheese between cuts.
  4. Place bread on foil large enough to wrap the loaf.
  5. Mix margarine,onions and seeds.
  6. Drizzle over bread.
  7. Wrap foil around loaf, place on cooking sheet.
  8. Bake at 350 for 15 minutes.
  9. Uncover and bake 10 minutes longer or until cheese is melted.
