Another dessert adapted from my old Tassajara Cookbook. I especially like to make this with berries of various types, but can also be made with apples, peaches, pears or whatever.

Lovely, dense, and moist cake. Enjoyed this with a blueberry fruit topping. I misread the instructions so ended up omitting the cornstarch! Still even without this ingredient the final result was lovely and I will try it again (correctly next time:-)BTW will try again soon because it was finished by my family almost immediately after it was made.
