  1. Yummy! I didn't have an onion, but that didn't make too big a difference as far as I could tell. Next time, I'll make sure I have one though. I ate mine with whole egg mayonnaise, delicious!

  2. I doubled the potatoes {used red potatoes) and 1 larger onion and I fried the first batch in "schmaltz" (rendered chicken fat by Empire) and then I fried the second batch in corn oil and made them thinner which helped them crisp more! Made these for a Chanukkah celebration. Love them with applesauce. Thanks!

  3. Nice recipe. I love potatoes, and I love frying. I used 2 large potatoes and 1 small red onion. Made a good bunch of latkes. Great for breakfast as a substitute for hashbrowns. Put a fried egg on top, a couple of breakfast sausages on the side, beautiful. I just fried mine in butter and the taste was marvellous. Fine on there own, you don't need to use any condiments if you don't have any or don't want to. Great stuff.

  4. What a great way to serve potatoes, nice break from normal. Thanks.

  5. I screwed up the first time I tried this recipe, and did not dry the potatoes and onions enough, they fell apart, but still tasted good, so I gave it another shot, SQUEEZED the moisture out, and added a little garlic powder- MMMMM I will definatly make this recipe again!- Thanks Tarynne
