This is the recipe from the "Spices of the World Cookbook by McCormick", which I believe is out of print. It is better than any commercial brand I've ever tried. I find the commercial brands either too sweet or too sour.
- 3⁄4 cup mayonnaise
- 3 tablespoons minced pickles (I think kosher baby dills work best)
- 2 teaspoons instant minced onion
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1⁄4 teaspoon dry mustard
- 1⁄4 teaspoon celery salt
- 1 teaspoon capers, minced
- Combine all ingredients and mix well. Refridgerate 1 hour to allow flavors to mingle.
