the best recipe I've found for Tartar Sauce- from Saveur magazine.
- 3 cornichons or 3 gherkins
- 1⁄2 lemon, juice of
- 2 -3 teaspoons nonpareil capers
- 1 teaspoon brine, from cornichons
- 1 cup mayonnaise
- 1 teaspoon brine, from capers
- salt & pepper
- Mix all ingredients and chill for 1 to 2 hours before serving.
