Great recipe. Served it with broiled perch and loved the flavor it added. Stepped up the horsey sauce to add more zing. Just great!

Wonderful recipe! A perfect combination of flavors. I reduced the amount of horseradish to 1/4 tsp. This has got to be the best tartar sauce that I've ever tasted. I served this sauce with beer battered halibut filets and it complimented the fish nicely.

this makes a great dipping sauce for shrimp! the pickles give it some zip, as does the horseradish(i used 1/2 a tsp of grated from the jar). loved the flavor of all the ingredients combined.

I really liked this sauce!! Followed your recipe exactly. Let it sit most of the day until supper time. I served it with battered cod & onion rings. Great recipe. Thanks
Update: I started adding a little grated carrot, sugar (just because we like it sweet) and a little more horseradish (we like that too). I've made this umpteen times without modifying your recipe. Just love it but now double it!! I don't buy store anymore. Again thank you!

Hey, Jude--I really enjoyed your tartar sauce! The combo of both sweet and tangy pickles makes this a perfectly balanced sauce. I've never tried one with sour cream as an ingredient, but after doing so prefer it this way--the texture and creaminess were delightful. Next time I may add a little more horseradish sauce. (Those little packets from Arby's come in handy). It was too hot to cook, so threw a Stouffer's breaded fish in the microwave, then topped it with a slice of American cheese and slathered my bun with lots of sauce. Yummy!

I diced up one whole onion slice (which probably means I had more than 1 teaspoon) - the trick is to dice the pickle into very fine pieces; also added the creamy horseradish as suggested - the flavor is VERY tasty.
