I added a chicken bouillion cube to the water before cooking the peas. The tarragon adds fragrance and depth.

  1. Cook peas to desired doneness (as directed on package). Drain.
  2. Meanwhile, melt butter in small saucepan over medium heat. Add onions; cook 2 - 3 minutes or until onions are tender, stirring occasionally. Stir in tarragon. Pour onion-butter mixture over cooked peas; stir to coat.
