Most pumpkin pies are just too--well--"pumpkiny" for my taste. This one is a pumpkin pie that is more delicately flavored with pumpkin. My family would howl if I did not make it Thanksgiving and Christmas

Ingredients Nutrition

  • 6 eggs
  • 3 cups sugar
  • 3 tablespoons flour
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 2 12 cups milk
  • 12 cup melted butter or 12 cup margarine
  • 12 lemon, juice of
  • 12 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 12 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1 (15 ounce) can pumpkin
  • 2 -3 unbaked prepared pie crusts, depending on how deep and wide the pans are. I use Pillsbury pie crusts from the refrigerated sectio

Directions

  1. Mix all ingredients with mixer until well blended.
  2. Pour into 2 or 3 pie crusts.
  3. Bake at 400F for 45 minutes or until knife in center comes out clean.
