    This is a modified recipe from the "American Test Kitchen" but is very close. If you like a nice tall biscuit and are tired of the Hydrogenated Canned biscuits then this is for you.

    Ingredients:

    Directions:

      Preheat oven to 425 degrees.
    2. 2
      In a food processor process all dry ingredients.
    3. 3
      Add 4 tbs butter cubed and process for 10ea 1 second pulses.

      Place mix in a mixing bowl and stir in Buttermilk.
    5. 5
      Spray a 9" metal cake pan with non-stick spray.
    6. 6
      Spray 1/3 measuring cup with non-stick spray and use it to scoop out biscuit dough from mixing bowl.

      Place the dough in a shallow pan with the 1 cup flour and roll into balls and place into cake pan. do this until you get 8-9 dough balls.

      Brush with 2 TBS melted butter and bake until golden brown.

      THANK YOU! I finally can make biscuits that are tall and fluffy instead of hockey pucks. Not having any self rising flour on hand, I used Self-Rising Flour for self rising flour and followed your instructions after that. Made chicken and biscuits and baked it for about 17 minutes and had some dough left so made a couple of biscuits on the side. Everything turned out perfect. So long Bisquick biscuits!

      These are the best biscuits that I have ever made...so light and fluffy. Delicious! Definately going into my Favorites of 2013. Thank you for posting. Made for Spring PAC 2013.
