- 4 large granny smith apples
- 1⁄2 cup chopped pecans
- 1⁄2 cup packed dark brown sugar
- 1⁄4 teaspoon salt
- 1⁄4 cup half-and-half

- Core apples, cutting to but not through bottom ends.
- Place apples in a lightly greased 9-inch square baking dish.
- In a bowl, mix together the remaining ingredients.
- Spoon mixture into apples.
- Bake, covered, in a 375° oven for 45 minutes; uncover and bake 15 more minutes.
- Serve warm.
