  1. Sharlene~W, I made this last nite and it is gone less than 24 hours later! Great recipe, tasted just like the real thing! I did leave the cherries out though cause I was looking for "authentic" but just the same, superb! TY

  2. My DH usually doesn't care for "fluffy salads" especially ones with pineapple in them. However, when he had this at a church supper he told me to make sure to get the recipe. The recipe the lady at church gave me is slightly different from this one but she had gotten it from an elderly lady and she questioned if the amounts were right. I have a feeling your recipe is probably more accurate (hers doesn't contain cherries). Glad to see it posted here!

I live in the San Francisco area and love it here. I discovered Recipezaar (then Food.com..Genius Kitchen) in 2001 and have been so happy to have my favorite recipes stored safely here. I am mother to 7 and grandmother to 7. I love to knit, smock, sew, etc., but my favorite hobby of the moment is traditional rug hooking. This is a sample of what I do.? It's called "November".? I dyed most of the wool myself. It is made from wool flannel, cut into strips a little less than 1/4" and then worked into a linen backing. This is my 3rd rug.
