    i found out too late that i didn't potatoes for soup, but i had already pulled out my broth. i remembered i had taco meat in the freezer, so i looked for taco soup recipes. all the recipes i found called for taco seasoning-which i didn't have. i made this from scratch, without a recipe! it was really yummy, so try it and give me some feedback.. :)

      *because i already had my taco seasoning, change the amount of seasonings according to your taste*.

      heat oil in pan.

      add cooked beef, green pepper, onion and spices.

      if using home canned tomatoes, cut into smaller, bite-sized pieces. (i used my hand mixer inside the jar) add tomatoes into a pot with the beef broth.

      add beef mixture.

      cut tortillas in small rectangular pieces (about 1"x2") and add to soup.

      add cheese and sour cream.
