Yum! best describes this tasty appetizer. I went the 'whole hog' and used the melted butter and the egg.
I served with a jar of mild salsa.
I also plan to make these at a work party we are having in the next few weeks.
Thanks for posting!

Great spicy chicken nuggets. This was our supper the other night. I serve with medium salsa. The coating turned out crisp and crunchy. I liked that they were baked and not fried--less mess to clean up. Thanks Junebug.

What a great idea, the taco seasoning!! i used the egg and left the butter out, they were wonderfull and crisp. You were right they did disappear very quickly, served them as suggested with a medium picante sauce. will certainly do these again, thanks for sharing Junebug!!

We really enjoyed this recipe. It was great game food. I dipped into a combo of sour cream and salsa as suggested by some other reviewers. I thought it brought out the flavor of the taco seasoning. I will definately be doing this recipe again!!!

My kids absolutely loved these! My husband and I were okay with them and did not like them as much as the kids did, but because of the great success with the kids, I will be making this again. At least they are a lot healthier than the prepared chicken nuggets you buy anywhere else. That's a big plus! I personally thought these were very bland. The only change I made was I used Italian breadcrumbs because I didn't have plain on hand and I didn't use the melted butter.

Easy and delicious. I made these for dinner and my family enjoyed them. I only had Italian Bread Crumbs, it was good and just added a smaller amount more of seasoning. Thanks for the recipe.

These were very good. DH, DD and I all enjoyed them. I used the cheesy taco seasoning as I didn't have any regular on hand. I used whole chicken tenders instead of nugget too. I served them with mashed potatoes and corn and it rounded out to be a great fast weeknight meal. Thanks Junebug for the GREAT recipe!

Yummy! This made a quick & easy lunch that tasted great. I used low sodium taco seas mix & a fat free butter spread. I used about 4 oz of chicken & cut the crumb mix into a quarter of the original, and still had about 1/2 of it leftover! So it'll be nice when I want to have them again! I dipped them into a mixture of fat free sour cream & salsa-so yummy!

I wanted something different but quick,so I chose this recipe and I'm so glad I did.:)The only hard thing about making this recipe was cutting the chicken into nugget pieces.Since I used 2 pounds of chicken I made a recipe and a half of Taco Bell Taco Seasoning Clone/Copycat and it worked out just great.I made this recipe on 4/6/07 and I'm so sorry that I waited till now to rate it.This will be made again, thanks for posting."Keep Smiling:)"

So Easy and quick. Instead of adding butter to the crumbs I just put a thin coat on the cookie sheet instead. I got carried away and made extra bread crumbs so thin sliced a couple potatoes , coated them also and cooked right on the same cookie sheet with the chicken. Both were a big hit. Thanks for sharing this great recipe Junebug!!

Nice nuggets - I left the butter out also, but added a spoonful of olive oil with the egg. My taco seasoning didn't have any salt in it so I also added that separately. Good stuff.
