Very good! Because cumin is the flavor I associate with Tacos, I added 2 tsp cumin to meat mixture. I did DRAIN beans, which wasn't specified, and that worked well! Casserole baked nicely and chips stayed crisp. I did place a dollop of sour cream on my serving. Yummy. Thanks for a good casserole I will make again, especially for a potluck dish by doubling the recipe!

Very tasty! Quick and easy to make. I did change a few things to suit my family. I didn't add garlic or oragano, as I associate those with Italian food. I also chose tortilla chips versus corn chips, and added cheese, sour cream, and jalapenos. It was fantastic! Thanks for the great idea.

Almost a 5-Star meal in our opinion. I should have read all the reviews and drained my kidney beans as someone suggested, because it was a little runny. I also added 4oz of shredded cheddar cheese on top of the beans before cooking, and a dash of cumin. I think taco sauce in place of plain tomato sauce will give it more Mexican Kick next time. Toppings we used: Cheddar Cheese, olives, sour cream, red onions, lettuce and tomatoes. Great casserole, BeachGirl! Gracios & Adios!

Very good stuff. I added some diced jalapenos as well as a bit of cumin & cayenne. We like hot. I also couldn't resist topping this with some good Wisconsin cheddar. Some of the chips stayed crisp and others got a bit soft, which was a good combo. This made 4 generous helpings. A nice take on regular tacos.

Well this got 2 out of 4 kids eating with glee and believe me, that's an improvement! I added cheese on top of the chips and it was almost like nachos.

Kicken Good! I did add a jalapeno diced finely along with the onions. Add topped the beans with grated cheddar cheese. And after cooking topped it with sliced black olives.

Thank you Laurie, quick and simple, great tasting meal! I did drain the kidney beans and added shredded mexican blend cheese before adding the corn chips. Added some sour cream and a little salsa to the top before serving.

Thanks - I needed something that I had ingredients for - I have several tortilla/taco type casseroles that I make, but I have never made one like this...Good to try new ways to make things - anyway I actually combined this recipe with another Taco Casserole recipe. I browned my beef, added a pkg of taco seasoning and the required water, the tomato sauce and 4 oz of fat free cream cheese. I put a layer of crushed tortilla chips in the casserole dish, then 1/2 the meat, 1 can drained kidney beans, another layer of chips, the rest of the meat, the remaining chips, then cheese. coverered and baked 40 minutes - my chips seemed stale - not soggy or crispy - but it was good - it all got eaten!! Thanks for posting!!!!
