The first one I bit into was like WOW! It tasted very much like Taco Bell's quesadillas, which I love. After that first piece, though, it lost its spice. I think omitting the sugar would make it better, as the background was just too sweet and overtook the spice. I would definitely make these again, and probably use another reviewer's sugestion of making the sauce ahead of time so the flavors can meld.

These are just like Taco Bell's but better! My husband loves loves loves them and declares me awesome! I did double the sauce the second time I made them because we like it saucy and used rotisserie chicken. Delicious!

These were amazing! My husband love Taco Bells and he asked that I try to find a recipe that was like theirs. He kept telling me, "these are AWESOME! Even the sauce looks the same!" the entire time. Great find.

I was so excited to find this recipe. Who knew the sauce had mayo? This was pretty close to Taco Bell, but didn't have the same "melt in my mouth" flavor. I may marinate the chicken next time.

Tastes nearly identical to the real thing. DH asked if I had bought the sauce it was so good! I actually added extra peppers after tasting because it didn't seem very spicy to me.

Thank you for sharing this wonderful recipe. I watch my granddaughter on Fridays and I usually send a snack with my son to take to work. I sent this one today for the second time. His co workers are now requesting it! This was such a hit!

These are so good! I prefer them over taco bell. I make the sauce as is and then just guess at the chicken and cheese. Very tasty, quick weeknight dinner.
Edit: My husband made these again last night using black beans instead of me and it was SOOO good! They're even good cold the next day!

This was a good recipe, my family all enjoyed it. I did skip the sugar in the sauce- my hubby dosn't care for sweet stuff in that kind of thing and I didn't want him to not like it. We didn't miss it at all, although I'm sure it probably tastes just fine with the sugar in the sauce. I did also skip the cheese slices, and just used more shredded cheese, and I also put cheese on top as well as under the chicken, so the folded over tortilla would stick better. Thanks for posting the recipe, I"m sure we will make it again.

Excellent! I had stopped at T-Bell a few days before and ate them, delicious but $$$. I found this recipe and tried it. Will NEVER buy them from T-Bell again! I will only use this recipe to make em! So good! I didn't use the slices of jalapeno, but just a bit more juice. Thanks so much for such an excellent quick dinner/lunch/snack. :)
