My mom made this a lot when we were little. It's "tacky" because it sticks to the spoon and is very thick, but delicious and extremely cheap to make.
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 cups apple juice (feel free to use cheap juice)
- Combine sugar and juice in a heavy saucepan.
- Bring to a boil and cook until mixture reaches the soft ball stage. Fill clean dry jars. Seal as usual.
