I made this recipe as posted,(omitting the salt)and must admit I was disappointed. While the flavor is ok, I did feel it would benefit with more chili flakes and double the sauce as many reviewers mentioned. I'll give this a try again, increasing the sauce and the heat next time. Thank you Sue L for sharing the recipe.

I have not rated any recipes yet, even though I have been using recipezaar for awhile now, I felt I needed to rate this recipe. I gave it a five star. I did add brown sugat (about a half a cup) because I like the taste of brown sugar. My hsband loves shrimp (only no vegies), so I decided to make this recipe. I followed the recipe, only I added the brown sugar. He has not tried it yet, but I think this is a very good recipe. I used easy peel frozen shrimp (2lbs) and trippled the sauce recipe. Again this is a very good recipe.

Outstanding! When I tasted it I couldn't believe that I had made something that tastes like one of our favorite restaurant dishes. My mom is going to flip when I make this for her. She loves this stuff. I did add about 1/2 cup chopped onions. Served over rice. I would give this more stars if I could. Sue, I am so glad I picked you for the Pick a Chef you have some excellent recipes!!
