I made these about a month ago (sorry for the delay in posting I'm just catching up). I simply adore these, I too changed the red pepper flakes to 1 heaping tsp as I love them spicy. I'm so glad to finally find this recipe, so ëasy to make!

Very, very good recipe. I used a tsp of hot chile flakes and I did add small white cooking onions stir fry the beans and onions about 4 min and then about 4 more after the garlic etc was added. Excellent went over well at the dinner Served with Pecan Chicken Thanks Kimke
