This is a great vegetarian dish. Perfect with pita or eat it as a side dish.
- 453.59 g package frozen green beans
- 59.14 ml olive oil
- salt, pepper
- 1 garlic clove, minced
- 59.14 ml cilantro, chopped
- Place beans in a pot and drizzle with the oil. Season with salt and pepper and put the lid on. Cook covered until beans are well done.
- Add cilantro and garlic, stir, and continue cooking until cilantro starts wilting.

I prefer cilantro uncooked and added it as a garnish and not to the pan. Used freshly picked green beans from the vine and gorgeous cilantro from our CSA box. Options for cooking the beans could be steamed or (pan) grilled. Very tasty, super easy and will make often! Made for A Taste of Syria tag game.
OMG, this was fabulous! For me the only issue is planning to use an entire bunch of cilantro, as it doesn't keep very well. But after I made Wish I Could Cook's Moroccan Harira Soup yesterday, I had just enough for this recipe. Made for Vegan Swap 13.
