Ingredients Nutrition

  • 6 eggs, beaten
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 1 teaspoon white sugar
  • 6 -8 slices day old raisin bread or 6 -8 slices bread

Directions

  1. Beat all ingredients together with a fork and dip day old raisin or plain bread into it.
  2. Fry with margarine.
  3. Sprinkle with icing sugar and serve with sliced apples, or syrup.

A nice change from our everyday french toast recipe. I used Vienna bread and served with HeatherFeather's Red Berry Dessert Sauce. This is a denser, egg custard coating on the bread so a sturdier bread would work best.
