Simple, quick and easy, and oh so good. I've found many other more elaborate recipes, but mom's no-nonsense style of cooking was a perfect instruction book from an always busy mom to her soon to be busy professional daughters.
- Take a swiss steak cut, round steak, or most any kind of beef and lay in an 8 X 12 pan, or whatever is needed. Salt and pepper to taste. Lay slices of fresh onion on top of the meat and pour on a can of tomato sauce. Cover with foil and bake 1 1/2 hours in a 325-350 degree oven, or until done. Served with baked potatoes.
