Like lazyme, I wasn't sure how I'd feel about this -- I like Ovaltine as a hot drink, but I didn't know how it would be as a bread sprinkle. I was surprised by how much I enjoyed this. In the spirit of using ZWT leftover stuff, I used momaphet's Food Processor French Bread for the bread, and Debbwl's Orange Butter for the butter (very nice if you like chocolate and orange together). Thanks for posting! Made for the Emerald City Shakers for ZWT7
This was simple, to the point, and quite good. Didn't know the reaction here would be, but it sure worked out well for the 4 of us, as it made for a great football snack. Made for PRMR tag.
What a nice little snack!! I liked this more than I thought I would. I sprinkled the Ovaltine lightly, but will say where it was more concentrated was where I liked it best. I had no idea Ovaltine was from Switzerland! Made for ZWT - Count Dracula and His Hot Bites.
So yummy! You could of gotten me on this one....although I love, love, Ovaltine, (Ovomaltine) I would of never thought about this, but today, this is exactly what I needed for a snack this afternoon. Perfect, relaxing with a cold, glass of milk. Thanks for posting this! Made for ZWT7
So, I too, was surprised by how much I liked this. Initially, I was afraid to give it to DS, because he will LOVE it and want it every day! I made this for my breakfast and really liked the flavor. I may fix it for DS on special occasions, as he does like his Ovaltine! Cool idea - Thanks for sharing, Chef Jean!
Ok - this one intrigued me. I had no clue whether we would like it or not but gave it a try. It certainly couldn't be easier or faster. We surprised how good it was - and it was certainly a hit with the 3 year old from across the street. Thanks Chef Jean for a nice new treat. Made for ZWT7 for the Emerald City Shakers.
