Outstanding green bean recipe! This 1st time around I followed your recipe right on down & thoroughly enjoyed it! Still, another time I might just sub crushed multi-grain crackers for the cornflakes, just because we are very partial to that particular kind of cracker! Thanks for a great new way to fix these green buggers! [Tagged & made in Please Review My Recipe tag]
I loved this! DS, on the other hand, tried to pick the celery out of it. Instead of crushed cornflakes, I used crushed ritz crackers, just a personal preference. I much prefer this green bean casserole to the one with the french fried onions. Made for 123 Hits!
Great alternative to green bean cassorle. I made this as written with 2 changes, I left out the celery due to DS and didn't have the cornflakes, so just left off the topping and therefore didn't add a photo due to the no topping. I especially liked the addition of the seasoned salt, versus plain salt. I made 1/3 of the recipe for just the two of us. Thanks for sharing the recipe. Made for PRMR.
Excellent, we loved this. There is just the right amount of sauce, and its deliciously creamy. I used 'fresh' beans that I had frozen previously, butter rather than margarine, and breadcrumbs rather than cornflake crumbs, because I had them. Fabulous way to eat beans, I had extra and hoped that I would get that for my lunch, but no, DH kept them for himself! I'll just have to make them again! Thanks for a great recipe!
We loved these. I did use frozen green beans because I prefer them, but I just loved the Swiss cheese with them and the crunchiness of the corn flakes. This is a keeper!
