Sweet Vermouth Country Style Ribs

"Only two ingredients not including the salt and pepper. Truly, the most effortless dish you'll ever make and the results are 5 star! Originally I made it in the oven but now the crock pot is my appliance of choice. Country style ribs are very affordable and usually fattier then most pork cuts but in this recipe the fat melts away."

  1. I saved this recipe because I like country ribs and this sounded just different enough to be worth a shot. It's almost New Year's Day, so all pork is relatively cheap, including country ribs. The only change I made to the recipe was to cut it in half. I tossed it in the crockpot this morning in about 5 minutes before heading out for the day. Came home to meat that was sliding off the bone tender, with a surprisingly elegant and subtle flavor that is wonderful! Country ribs can be fatty, but the fat does seem to melt away, leaving you with pork that is best described as luscious. Thanks for this recipe! I'll probably try it with other cuts of pork, too. It's that good!

I am the lucky to live in the mountains of western North Carolina. I am a married mom of 2 and step-mom of three. I love to garden and can. I've been collecting cookbooks since I was 7!. I still have my first one that I got from my Nonna. Now that I have millions of recipes at my disposal I don't buy many cookbooks anymore. I do love 19th century homemaking books that makes me grateful for the times in which we live.
