  1. For the dressing:.
  2. Combine vinegar, oil, sugar, salt, dry mustard and celery seed in a saucepan.
  3. Bring mixture to a boil, stirring to dissolve sugar.
  4. Remove from heat and let cool.
  5. For the salad:.
  6. Layer cabbage, onion and bell pepper in a bowl.
  7. Pour sugar over vegetables.
  8. Pour cooled dressing over vegetables.
  9. Chill 3 to 4 hours.
  10. Stir well before serving.
  11. Prep time does not include chill time.

I narrowed this down for 3 people and I added alittle mayonnaise and used red pepper in place of green pepper cause thats what I had on hand and I used white vinegar. Has a nice flavor. Thanks for sharing the recipe.
