From Jody Vassallo's Style Drinks. The suggested food pairing is Toasted Pannetone.
- 2 slices dried apples
- 1 fresh sage leaf
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 1 ounce Scotch whisky
- 1 teaspoon honey
- boiling water, to top
- Put 2 slices of dried apple into a tumbler or glass mug.
- Add a sage leaf and cinnamon stick.
- Add whisky and honey, then top with boiling water until the glass is three-quarters full.
- Stir with the cinnamon stick. Serve immediately.
I had all of the ingredients for this drink so I thought I would give it a go, am I ever glad I did! Normally I am not much of a Scotch drinker, but this was delicious. The mix of apples and sage was a wonderful combination. Thanks for posting this, my husband and I both thought it was terrific!:)
