Tasty sweet bread. Very nice with morning coffee.
- 1 package yeast
- 3 tablespoons sugar
- 3 cups bread flour
- 3⁄4 cup milk
- 1⁄4 cup water
- 2 eggs
- 4 tablespoons melted butter, cooled
- 1⁄4 cup honey
- 1 1⁄2 teaspoons salt
- 1⁄3 cup regular raisins
- 1⁄3 cup golden raisin
- 3⁄4 cup nuts (any kind you like or mixed if you want. Pistachios and peanuts are a nice combo)
- Combine all ingredients in the order given.
- Select white bread and push start.
I did love it - it was a bit wet but I ignored that and lo and behold, it was a great bread. Thanks Steve
I followed the recipe exactly and had high hopes. Unfortunately, it just didn't suit me at all. I can't quite put my finger on why. The batter was a bit wet and the bread didn't rise a whole lot, but it seems like maybe that's how it is supposed to be? Just as a personal taste, I did not care for peanuts in this bread.
I really shouldn't rate this since I didn't follow the recipe exactally... I found the batter to be very very wet. Was it supposed to be like that? I added 3/4 cups extra flour, and it still wasn't a real nice dough. The bread didn't rise very high, and it was a bit heavy, though we could eat it...
