This recipe is WONDERFUL!! I used fresh sweet potatoes and steamed them in the microwave and then chunked them up before layering per the recipe. Fresh potatoes work great too with this dish. I also made a slight change by using chopped almonds in place of the pecans as a personal preference. This side dish is outstanding! I love this dish completely!!! I cut this recipe in half when I made it, but changed nothing else (well, except that I did toast the pecans)! I don't usually care for marshmallow topping on my SPs, but made an exception with this one because of the addition of the cinnamon & nutmeg! VERY, VERY TASTY DISH, & worthy of making again during the end-of-year holidays! Another time I might just try using steamed, unpeeled sweet potatoes, cut into bite-size pieces! Thanks for sharing the recipe! [Tagged, made & reviewed in Please Review My Recipe tag]
