These are awesome just the way they are. I am always afraid of latkes because I really don't like undercooked potatoes, but these were really great. All I had were spring onions, which are sort of between regular yellow and green onions and I think that the green part really add to the yum factor.
I may try to spice them up sometime too, but I made them this way and really enjoyed them. I normally do NOT like using EVOO for cooking as I find most brands develop an off flavor, but I found one that doesn't do that and used it. I really added to the flavor!! LOVE IT, thank you so much!
I thought these were really good! I scaled it down to four pancakes, and added cumin, paprika, and ancho chile coarse salt. I will try and make them crispier next time.
I did not like these at all. It took a lot of effort to peel and grate the potatoes and I couldn't even eat these when cooked. I used onion and garlic and cut back on the egg as suggested by one reviewer. They took a really long time to cook up and they tasted awful.
Excellent! I omitted the onion cause I'm not a huge fan and it still came out delicious. When they were finished I sprinkled a little cinnamon on them. Next time, I'm going to try using egg white instead of eggs to reduce that egg taste to it.
Delicious! I made mine with minced onion, minced garlic and, since you’d suggested it, I just couldn’t resist adding some cumin– about 1/2 teaspoon – which I find so often adds just the right amount of oomph to many recipes. Everyone loved these KITTENCAL, so I’ll be making them again! Thanks!
Made this with the cinnamon cumin cayenne combination and added a pinch of ginger to tie it into menu items. everyone liked it Particularly the kidlet.
I LOVE it. My husband was more finicky about it. But I'm the healthnut in the family.
