Sweet Potato - Cran-Apple Casserole

- 3 (40 ounce) cans sweet potatoes, drained
- 2 lbs apples
- 1⁄2 cup dried cranberries
- 1⁄2 cup brown sugar
- 2 teaspoons cinnamon
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1⁄2 cup butter or 1/2 cup margarine, melted

Topping Ingredients
- 1⁄2 cup butter or 1/2 cup margarine
- 1 cup flour
- 1⁄2 cup brown sugar
- 1⁄4 cup sliced almonds
directions
- Preheat oven 350°F.
- Slice sweet potatoes 1/4 inch thick.
- Wash and slice apples 1/4 inch thick. Put lemon juice on the apples.
- Mix brown sugar, cinnamon and melted butter.
- Alternate layers of sweet potatoes, apples, and cranberries, in a deep casserole dish. Put sugar mixture on top of each layer.
- Bake 30 minutes.
- While the casserole is baking it's time to mix the topping.
- Cream butter, stir in flour, brown sugar, and almonds.
- After baking for 30 minutes, take out of the oven and top with the toping. Put back in the oven and bake for another 20 to 30 minutes. Until golden.
