Add this dish to your traditional holiday dinners
- 3 cups sweet potatoes, cubed and cooked
- 1⁄4 cup sugar
- 1⁄2 cup butter
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1⁄2 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- topping mix
- 1⁄2 cup brown sugar
- 1⁄2 cup flour
- 1⁄3 cup butter
- 1 cup chopped nuts, blend together and sprinkle on top
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- In an ovenproof dish, mix together potatoes, sugar, butter, eggs and vanilla. Blend together the topping ingredients and sprinkle on top. Bake for 25 minutes or until hot.
This was so simple and it was amazing!! The only person who likes sweet potatoes at my house is my daughter. I feel obligated to make SOMETHING with sweet potatoes for Thanksgiving though. My husband and I tried a bite and I do believe it was the best thing on the Thanksgiving table.
