My husband loves this with our Holiday turkeys. He prefers the sauce to gravy. Of course, it is also delicious with chicken.

Ingredients Nutrition

  • 2 lbs white pearl onions
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 12 teaspoon salt
  • 12 cup sugar
  • 1 tablespoon water

Directions

  1. Onions should be blanched in hot water for 3 minutes.
  2. Remove from water and remove onion skins. No further cooking is necessary.
  3. Melt butter. Add salt and sugar. Stir in the water.
  4. When blended, add the onions and coat well.
