- 5 large sweet yellow onions, sliced
- 1⁄2 cup unsalted butter
- 3 (14 1/4 ounce) cans beef broth
- 1 1⁄2 cups Chardonnay wine
- Thin slice and quarter 5 large sweet yellow onions.
- Melt the butter in a large, hot soup pot.
- Add onions and cook until tender, about 45 minutes.
- Add in the beef broth and wine.
- Simmer 5-10 minutes, or until hot and steaming.
