"This is a family favorite. It goes great with ham warm from the oven, but is also wonderful on a ham sandwich.". It is a recipe that comes from my Great Aunt Ing who was from Sweden.
- 1 cup water
- 1 cup sugar
- 1⁄4 cup vinegar (Apple Cider or White)
- 1⁄2 cup yellow mustard (Prepared, not the powder)
- 1 tablespoon flour
- 2 eggs, beaten
- Place all the ingredients in the top of a double boiler, or in a mixing bowl over a saucepan. Make sure the water is simmering underneath and stir constantly until the sauce thickens enough to coat the back of a spoon. Serve warm, or cover and refrigerate.
