These were quick to make, but I followed the recipe and couldn't discern much of a flavor other than the flavor of the nuts. I used a combo of pecans/almond/walnuts. Maybe we're more of a stronger flavor kind of family! Made for Zaar Stars. UPDATE: After letting sit for a couple hours, the flavors seemed to have melded and gotten stronger. I had added a little sugar too. They tasted much better then!
These were really good and easy to make. I love things I can make in my microwave. My children really enjoyed these. I will be making them to snack on more often.
These were very tasty!! I love the cinnamon and nutmeg together! However, they weren't as crunchy as I would have like them so I put them in a 325 degree oven for 20 minutes and it made them a little more crunchy to our liking. I served them at a party I had and everyone loved them. Thanks Anme!
what a great combo of sweet and salty hmmmmm hmmmmmm this will be a great snack to have around
This is wonderful! It's an excellent (and exceedingly easy) way to serve a whole host of nuts and seeds. I used a mix of macadamias, blanched almonds, cashews and sunflower seeds with poppy seeds, cinnamon and nutmeg on the top. The flavour is fantastic - toastie sweet, but not so sweet that it's overpowering. They have a lovely, slightly crisp outer coating and are VERY morish! What I like most (other than the flavour) is that it takes minutes to make, is very versatile and it's not too obscenely unhealthy. This would be a fantastic snack to have either around the house or to serve when you have company. A definite keeper and yet another winner from Anme! :o)
I love nuts and these are slightly sweet and toasty. I used all almonds and freshly grated nutmeg. It's so easy to make. I think the recipe is adaptable to variations such as BBQ, Mexican or cajun spices. Great 5-star snack. Thanks Anme.
