Made this dressing today with brown sugar as we were out of confectioner's sugar and it still tasted wonderful. Thank you again, Laurie! 03/30/03:Amazing. I added a 4th tablespoon of ketchup as DH likes his French dressing to be orange. :) Also added a few shakes of garlic powder, when there should have only been one shake. This came out amazingly well. Thank you Laurie!

I mixed this up solely for the purpose of adding it to Taco Salad because I was short on bottled dressing. I picked it because it seemed easy to put together (it was) and made exactly the amount of dressing I needed. It was good in a pinch, but I didn't think it had enough depth of flavor. It needed other seasonings added to match the flavor I would typically look for in a red french dressing.

I loved this! I like sweet dressings and only had ranch in the fridge when a craving for a big salad struck today, so I of course searched zaar for an easy dressing and found this one and am glad I did! So easy from things always on hand. This is a keeper!

I loved this dressing, and have been making it since having Gestational Diabetes. I use 1/2 cup splenda, 3/4 of the splenda was a bit too much for me. So easy and tasty. Thanks for a great recipe.

I will never purchase the store brands again. Why would I? Sooo simple, I know what's in it and tastes GREAT! I used this over Iceberg wedges and served this with Baked Spaghetti Bravo!

This is a great recipe. I did substitute Splenda for the sugar. It was still great.

Really enjoyed the sweet, tangy flavor of this 'goes with just about anything' dressing. I used just under 1/4 cup of oil and probably could have used less-the full 1/2 cup called for would have been too much for our tastes. I also used just 1/2 cup powdered sugar and could have used less. As I made it, we enjoyed it a lot and will definitely make it again in the future! SOO tasty, easy, and versatile--can't wait to try it on my taco salad recipe!

This needs no changes in my opinion. My family said it tasted like a cross between French and Catalina. It was very smooth and delicious. Recommended!

It`s amazing how close if not exact this is to french dressing! And it is still sweet using a 1/2 cup sugar as I did. Good stuff!

This was a really nice dressing. I was a bit worried that it would be too sweet because of the amount of powdered sugar in it, but it turned out delicious. I will make this again. Thanks!
