ingredients
- 3⁄4 cup cornmeal
- 1 cup whole wheat pastry flour
- 1⁄2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1⁄2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup skim milk
- 1 egg (beaten)
- 2 tablespoons canola oil
- 2 tablespoons margarine
- 2 tablespoons honey
directions
- Preheat oven to 400.
- Combine dry ingredients.
- Add milk, egg and oil.
- Stir until well mixed.
- Coat 9 inch square pan with non-stick cooking spray.
- Bake until knife inserted in center comes out clean (approximately 20 minutes).
- Combine margarine and honey.
- Spread over top of hot cornbread.
