This is our favorite salad dressing.. we serve it over mixed baby greens with dried cranberries, red onion, toasted almonds & crumbled feta cheese.
- 1⁄4 cup balsamic vinegar or 1⁄4 cup red wine vinegar
- 1 garlic clove, minced
- 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
- 1⁄2 teaspoon salt
- 1⁄2 teaspoon fresh ground black pepper
- 1⁄2 cup olive oil
- Mix all ingredients and serve over salad greens.
Wow, so good. I did reduce the sugar by half as I don't like my dressings too sweet and I thought it was perfect! Tangy and sweet.
Made this exactly as written and was pleased. It is so simple and the balance in flavors is very good!
So simple to make and VERY TASTY !!! Yes it's sweet but that's part of its charm. Besides, better to get your sugar from a salad than a cupcake, ha !!!
